Role Description
As a Founder Software Engineer at Knowix, you will be a core member of the founding team, responsible for designing, building, and scaling our AI-first product from the ground up. You will work closely with the founders to define technical architecture, develop key features, and integrate speech processing and summarization capabilities into a reliable, user-friendly platform. Day-to-day, you will write production-quality code, implement and refine APIs, optimize performance, collaborate on product decisions, and help establish engineering best practices. You will also participate in rapid prototyping, user feedback cycles, and iteration on product features and infrastructure to support growth. This is a full-time, remote role, compensation is equity-based, and it offers significant influence over both the product direction and the technical roadmap.
Qualifications
Language:TypeScript across the frontend and backend
Frontend: Next.js with React
Backend: Node.js with Express
Database: PostgreSQL
ORM and migrations: Prisma
Experience with Docker and either AWS or Azure is useful, but not required.
Experience using Claude or similar development tools is also valuable, provided you understand, review, test, and take responsibility for the code you ship
Compensation
This role starts with equity-based compensation. Once we hit key targets, it converts to a full-time salaried position.
