Role Description The Founding Member – International Curatorial Advisory Board is a Part-time honorary remote advisory appointment role responsible for helping shape the strategic vision, curatorial direction, and long-term development of Cultural Exchanges®. This role involves reviewing and advising on exhibition proposals, artistic programs, and collaborative projects, with a focus on contemporary, spiritual, and expressive art. Day-to-day activities include participating in virtual advisory meetings, providing curatorial feedback on artists and collections, supporting the selection of themes
Responsibilities - Provide curatorial guidance for exhibitions and art auctions.
- Advise on provenance, authenticity, and ethical stewardship.
- Support scholarly documentation and Catalogue Raisonné initiatives.
- Foster relationships with museums, galleries, collectors, universities, and cultural institutions.
- Strengthen Cultural Exchanges' international collaborations.
- Contribute strategic insights to the long-term institutional vision.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated curatorial expertise and experience in contemporary, spiritual, or expressive art, with the ability to evaluate artistic practices and develop cohesive exhibition narratives.
- Experience collaborating with artists, collectors, institutions, and cross-cultural partners, including skills in relationship-building, stakeholder engagement, and cultural diplomacy.
- Strong strategic thinking and advisory skills, with a track record of contributing to program development, long-term institutional planning, or cultural initiatives with social impact.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate curatorial concepts, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to clear documentation and guidelines.
- Capacity to work effectively in a remote, international environment, with strong organizational skills, digital collaboration proficiency, and the ability to manage time across different projects.
- Knowledge of global art ecosystems, ethical and inclusive curatorial practices, and socially engaged or consciousness-oriented art movements.
- Relevant advanced education or professional background in art history, curatorial studies, museum studies, cultural management, or a related discipline is highly beneficial.
