A seed-stage AI startup is building a new kind of browser designed for an era where AI agents can take action and complete real work on behalf of users. The product has already launched, has active users, and is backed by prominent technology leaders.

They’re hiring their first Product Designer to join the founding team and work directly with the co-founders. This person will have significant ownership over the product’s design direction across macOS, iOS, and Windows.

What You’ll Own

• Design and ship roughly 3 product features per week

• Create platform-native experiences across macOS, iOS, and Windows

• Use the product continuously to identify broken, confusing, or missing experiences and propose improvements

• Work directly with users and translate feedback into product and design decisions

• Partner closely with the founders on product direction

• Help establish the design language and standards for the product as the first design hire

What They’re Looking For

• 3+ years of professional product design experience

• Strong native application design experience across desktop and mobile

• Experience designing with platform-native components, interactions, and materials rather than primarily page-level web layouts

• A strong live portfolio demonstrating product design depth and excellent product taste

• Ability to operate independently and ship quickly in an early-stage environment

• Experience speaking directly with users and incorporating their feedback into design decisions

• Full overlap with Pacific Time working hours

Strong Plus

• Design engineering experience

• Ability to code interactions, animations, or features, particularly with TypeScript

• Experience at highly design-led product companies such as Notion, Cursor, Linear, Vercel, or The Browser Company

• A public body of design work, experiments, prototypes, or product thinking

• Experience designing specifically for macOS, iOS, or Windows native environments

📍 San Francisco: In person 5 days/week on startup hours

🌎 Remote: Open worldwide with full PST-hours overlap

💰 Compensation: $150K–$230K/year
