The Role

Searchmark is seeking an experienced Fractional CFO to provide strategic and operational financial leadership on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will partner directly with executive leadership to optimize financial performance, manage risk, and support the company's growth initiatives.

This role offers a flexible, remote engagement with the opportunity to influence financial strategy while supporting an expanding technology business.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Partner directly with executive leadership on strategic initiatives.
• Advise on capital allocation and long-term financial planning.
  
  

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Provide financial reporting and actionable business insights.
• Support cost optimization initiatives.
  
  

Corporate Finance

• Support fundraising and investor relations activities.
• Assist with mergers and acquisitions.
• Provide strategic guidance on business growth opportunities.
  
  

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and tax requirements.
• Identify and manage financial risks.
• Maintain sound financial controls and processes.
  
  

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in senior finance leadership roles, including CFO or equivalent.
• Proven track record in strategic planning and financial leadership.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with bootstrapped software companies or technology startups preferred.
• CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus but not required.
