Fractional Chief Financial Officer Trades Mosaic

Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Location: Remote (East Coast preferred) Engagement: Fractional / 1099 (20–40 hours per month) Compensation: Monthly Retainer + Milestone Bonuses + Potential Equity Participation Trades Mosaic is an acquisition platform acquiring and scaling HVAC, plumbing, electrical, facilities, and mechanical trades businesses across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. With four operating brands and an active acquisition pipeline, we're seeking an experienced Fractional CFO to help build the financial infrastructure necessary to support growth, acquisitions, debt financing, and an eventual institutional-scale exit. What You'll Do Lead consolidated financial reporting across multiple operating companies Build board-ready reporting packages, forecasts, and KPI dashboards Support debt financing, lender relationships, and capital raise activities Lead financial due diligence and integration for acquisitions Oversee cash management, treasury planning, and working capital optimization Develop institutional-grade financial processes and exit-readiness initiatives Qualifications 10+ years of senior finance leadership experience Current or former CFO, VP Finance, or equivalent executive-level role CPA, MBA, or similar credential preferred Experience with private equity-backed businesses, rollups, or acquisition platforms Strong background in capital raises, commercial lending, and M&A Multi-entity consolidation and integration expertise Home services, facilities management, or field-service industry experience strongly preferred Experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or other home services trades businesses, particularly within multi-entity or acquisition-driven environments is REQUIRED. Ideal Candidate You have successfully helped scale acquisition-driven businesses, worked directly with lenders and investors, and understand what it takes to prepare a platform for institutional capital and eventual exit. You are strategic enough for the boardroom and hands-on enough to build the financial systems that support growth.
