FREELANCE | Art Director, Social

We are looking for a short-term temporary employee, 1 month to start contract supporting our Social Creative team at 40 hrs week. Remote is OK! Art Directors on the social team have experience in a broad range of digital media including, but not limited to: design, photography, video, animation, and illustration – for emails, web content, & social media. In this position, you'll focus on producing work that fuels brands every. single. day. Responsibilities: Concepting and creating original content for social media, email, web, paid ads and more. Partner with copywriters to bring ideas and solutions. Receive and apply feedback from reviews both internal and with clients. Talent to inspire clients and team members with great design craft and visual storytelling. Design for the digital space. Gain a thorough understanding of the client’s business and industry. Develop creative strategies and ideas that are culturally relevant. Develop original visual concepts. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a larger team in a fast-paced environment. Own projects through revisions and versions. Good client presentation skills demonstrating a clear vision of how the work addresses the client's challenge. Desire to take on new challenges, grow and learn every day. Qualifications: A strong aesthetic sense and excellent attention to detail; solid design work and the samples to show for it Ability to carry out a concept from start to completion Experience with designing all things digital and social Good communication skills and ability to meet deadlines A strong portfolio reflecting digital content experience Basic motion design for social, email, and web A good understanding of information architecture and effective usability techniques Strong conceptual and brainstorming skills The ability to follow direction, and give and take constructive criticism; an aptitude for time management, organization, and communication The ability to effectively collaborate with various teams, providing useful guidance in an enthusiastic and inspiring manner A basic understanding of UI/UX and an interest in the big social media platforms and their abilities/limitations BarkleyOKRP’s Commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion + Belonging At BarkleyOKRP, DEI+B drives work that matters.
