Role Overview We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic HCPC-registered Dietitians to join our freelance team. We are particularly interested in dietitians with experience of supporting students or other healthcare professionals and a strong understanding of current evidence-based practice. We currently have two distinct freelance opportunities available. Applicants may express an interest in either or both areas. Content Development and Review You will use your clinical expertise to develop or review high-quality course content and learning materials for healthcare students. This may include producing clear, accurate, engaging and evidence-based educational resources, ensuring that content reflects current professional guidance and clinical practice and is appropriate for the intended learners. Virtual Student Placement Facilitation You will deliver engaging and interactive simulated learning sessions to students undertaking virtual placements. You will support students in developing their clinical knowledge, professional reasoning and practical skills, provide constructive feedback and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will also work with university partners and internal colleagues to help ensure that students receive an outstanding placement experience. To learn more about our Virtual Student Placements, please visit: https://healthacademyonline.co.uk/virtual-student-placements/ Requirements Essential Current HCPC registration as a Dietitian Substantial experience working in a relevant clinical setting Experience of supporting, supervising or teaching healthcare students or professionals A strong understanding of current evidence-based dietetic practice Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills Confidence using digital platforms and online learning tools Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Google Workspace Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team Commitment to delivering high-quality education and supporting student learning For content development work, the ability to produce clear, accurate and evidence-based written materials Desirable ​ Practice Educator training or qualification Membership of the British Dietetic Association Experience across more than one area of dietetic practice Experience of developing or reviewing healthcare education materials Experience of delivering teaching or training virtually Experience of facilitating group learning, case discussions or simulated activities Benefits What We Offer Competitive freelance rates, including £410 per full day for placement facilitation Flexible freelance opportunities that can fit around your existing commitments The opportunity to support the development of the next generation of healthcare professionals A dynamic, collaborative and supportive team These are freelance opportunities offered according to business and placement requirements.
