Freelance IT Business Analyst

AC Advisory & Consulting SRL is looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst for a long-term freelance assignment within a leading financial institution in Brussels.

About the role

You will act as a key link between business and technology, translating complex business and stakeholder needs into clear, complete and traceable requirements.

Working closely with product owners, architects, project managers, subject matter experts and technology teams, you will support the successful delivery of solutions throughout the complete project lifecycle.

The assignment also includes an AI dimension: good knowledge of AI capabilities is required, while initial experience with Agentic AI would be a strong advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Elicit, analyse and document business, stakeholder, solution and transition requirements

• Analyse and design new business processes

• Identify and define detailed product requirements and use cases

• Collaborate with product owners, architects and subject matter experts

• Align business requirements with technology strategies and solutions

• Manage requirements traceability, impact and coverage analysis

• Translate requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results

• Support product, performance and user acceptance testing

• Review designs, prototypes and other deliverables to ensure requirements are fulfilled

• Drive the Business Analysis and requirements management strategy throughout the project lifecycle

• Coordinate dependencies with internal and external development teams

• Act as a liaison between business and technology stakeholders

Required experience and knowledge

• At least 3 years of relevant Business Analysis experience

• Proven experience in requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation and management

• Experience with conceptual modelling techniques and methods

• Good understanding of IT and testing

• Good understanding of workflow processes

• Good knowledge of banking processes

• Good knowledge of AI capabilities

• Good expertise in Microsoft Office

• Strong written and spoken Dutch, French and English

Nice to have

• Initial experience with Agentic AI

• Working arrangement: 50% onsite and 50% remote
