Freelance .NET Developer

Project/Client: Gaming Location: Vilnius (4 mandatory office days per week) Start Date: ASAP Duration: 6 months with possible extension Seniority: Mid-Level / Senior Language: Lithuanian and English Role Overview: We are looking for a Backend Developer to join a product-focused team in the gaming industry. The role involves ownership of backend development using C# , .NET 8/9 , Azure SQL , and Azure cloud infrastructure. You will contribute to scalable web-based applications , design and integrate REST APIs , and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: Contribute to backend development initiatives within a dedicated technical team. Participate in and lead code reviews to maintain high code quality. Design, build, and integrate REST APIs for scalable web-based applications . Take ownership of technical decisions and backend architecture within the team scope. Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams across the organization. Must-Have Requirements: 4+ years of hands-on experience with C# and .NET , preferably .NET 8/9 Experience with CI/CD , Kubernetes , Grafana , or APM tools Proven experience developing and maintaining web-based applications Strong experience with REST APIs , including both integration and design Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive outcomes Proficiency in Lithuanian and English Nice to Have: Familiarity with Azure , Service Bus , Docker , or Bitbucket Exposure to Azure AI Search or Apache Lucene
