Freelance Social Media Associate - D2C Experience

Our client, a health / wellness D2C company, is looking for a freelance Social Media Associate to join their team! This is a 40 hour per week, fully remote role (EST hours) and will be 1-2 months (with potential to extend).

The Freelance Social Media Associate will:
Manage and publish organic social content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms.
Maintain content calendars, scheduling, approvals, and asset organization.
Coordinate with creative, content, and marketing teams to ensure timely campaign execution.
Support influencer and creator partnerships, including outreach, briefing, content tracking, and approvals.
Monitor social trends and identify opportunities for timely, platform-native content.
Assist with short-form content creation, community initiatives, giveaways, and live social events.
Track project timelines, deliverables, budgets, and campaign documentation.

The Freelance Social Media Associate has:
2+ years of experience in social media, influencer marketing, community management, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and social media best practices.
Experience managing content calendars, publishing workflows, and creator partnerships.
Ability to create or support short-form video content for social platforms.
Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and external creators.
Experience in beauty, wellness, lifestyle, or consumer brands is a plus.
