We are looking for a creative Freelance Social Media Content Creator to support our Japan market initiatives by developing engaging, culturally relevant content for social platforms. The ideal candidate combines strong social media instincts with hands-on illustration skills, particularly in manga-inspired visual storytelling, to create content that resonates with Japanese audiences. You will work closely with the marketing team to develop social media assets that increase brand awareness, engagement, and audience connection across relevant channels. Responsibilities Create engaging social media content tailored for the Japanese market across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and other relevant channels. Develop manga-style illustrations, character designs, comics, and visual storytelling assets for social campaigns. Translate marketing concepts into compelling visual narratives suitable for Japanese audiences. Create social media graphics, short-form content, and creative assets aligned with brand guidelines. Research Japanese social media trends, content formats, and audience preferences. Support content planning, ideation, and creative strategy for Japan-focused campaigns. Collaborate with global marketing teams to adapt content for local relevance. Analyse content performance and provide recommendations to improve engagement. Requirements Proven experience creating social media content for the Japanese market or Japanese audiences. Strong illustration skills with experience in manga, anime-inspired, or character-based artwork. Portfolio demonstrating social media content creation and visual storytelling abilities. Understanding of Japanese pop culture, online communities, and digital content trends. Experience designing content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, X, or similar channels. Ability to balance creativity with marketing objectives. Strong written and visual communication skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience working with international brands or global marketing teams. Familiarity with the Japanese language and cultural nuances.
