Role Description The Freelance Videographer is a full-time remote role responsible for planning, shooting, and delivering high-quality video content that supports marketing, branding, and advertising initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with the marketing team to understand project goals, developing shot lists and basic storyboards, and setting up cameras, lighting, and audio equipment for various types of shoots. The role involves capturing footage for promotional videos, social media content, client testimonials, and educational materials, as well as organizing and transferring files for post-production. The Freelance Videographer will work closely with creative and strategy teams to ensure all video assets align with brand guidelines and effectively communicate key messages.
Qualifications

• Strong video production skills, including planning shoots and managing on-set workflows.
• Proficiency in camera operation and comfortable working with different camera systems.
• Experience with lighting setups for indoor and outdoor environments to achieve professional visual quality.
• Demonstrated ability in shooting video for marketing, social media, and branded content.
• Basic to intermediate video editing skills using common editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
• Understanding of framing, composition, and visual storytelling for digital and social platforms.
• Reliable high-speed internet and a suitable remote workspace for file transfers and virtual collaboration.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow creative briefs while offering constructive input.
• Prior experience working with marketing or creative agencies is preferred.
• Relevant education or training in film, media, communications, or a related field is an asset, but equivalent professional experience is valued.
