The successful candidate will be responsible for translating a variety of administrative and organizational documents, ensuring high-quality translations are delivered within required timelines. Please note that this position is offered remotely across Canada. For individuals residing in the Quebec City area, different work arrangements may apply depending on organizational needs. Duties and Responsibilities Translate a variety of documents for different departments across the organization in a timely manner, ensuring excellence in French spelling, grammar, syntax, and overall language quality. Review and proofread documents to be translated, identifying and correcting spelling, grammar, and syntax errors. Convert, edit, format, and resize documents according to specifications, while ensuring appropriate quality control. Develop and maintain an organization-wide terminology database to ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality across translations. Conduct terminology research as required to enhance and maintain the existing terminology database. Maximize efficiency through excellent time management and prioritization skills. Provide linguistic support, serve as a language resource, and collaborate effectively with internal clients across the organization. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Translation or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered. Experience in administrative translation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English. Excellent proofreading and editing skills. Demonstrates a high level of initiative. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Detail-oriented, dependable, and thorough. Demonstrates discipline, accuracy, reliability, and motivation. Excellent organizational skills. Strong planning skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Ability to establish and adjust priorities to manage multiple competing demands. Ability to work under tight deadlines and consistently meet established timelines. Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and internet-based tools required for the role. Member in good standing of the Ordre des traducteurs, terminologues et interprètes agréés du Québec (OTTIAQ).
