FRONT-END ENGINEER Vertical: Tech Location: Remote - Philippines, Eastern Europe, and Latin America USD Salary: Negotiable based on experience The Front-End Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining the client-side of web applications, translating UI/UX designs into high-quality, responsive, and performant user interfaces. This role bridges the gap between design and engineering, ensuring that visual concepts are implemented with clean, maintainable code and a strong focus on user experience. The Front-End Engineer collaborates closely with back-end engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver seamless, accessible, and scalable web experiences. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces using modern front-end technologies. Translate Figma/design mockups into clean, reusable HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript code. Build and maintain component libraries and design systems. Collaborate with back-end engineers to integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints. Optimize application performance through code splitting, lazy loading, caching strategies, and asset optimization. Write unit and integration tests for front-end components. Participate in code reviews and contribute to front-end architecture decisions. Ensure cross-browser compatibility and adherence to web accessibility standards (WCAG). Collaborate with UX/UI designers to provide technical feasibility input and iterate on designs. Stay current with front-end ecosystem developments and contribute to technical standards. 2–5 years of professional front-end engineering experience. Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+) or TypeScript. Experience with a modern front-end framework (React, Vue.js, or Angular). Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility. Experience consuming REST APIs and/or GraphQL. Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows. Strong eye for UI detail and commitment to delivering polished user experiences. NICE TO HAVE Experience with Next.js or Nuxt.js for server-side rendering (SSR) or static site generation (SSG). Familiarity with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, Pinia, or similar). Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or similar). Knowledge of web performance optimization and Core Web Vitals. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows. Familiarity with design systems and tools like Figma or Storybook.
