Frontend Engineer – JavaScript, Vite & Ruby Location: Remote (U.S. Citizen Required) Job Type: Full-Time About the Role We're looking for an experienced Frontend Engineer to help build and enhance the ConX (Constituent Experience) platform. This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys creating fast, accessible, and maintainable user interfaces using modern JavaScript while collaborating closely with backend engineers working in Ruby. You'll be responsible for developing high-quality frontend applications and reusable web components that deliver exceptional user experiences. What You'll Do Design, develop, and maintain responsive, high-performance web applications. Build reusable, standards-based web components using modern JavaScript. Develop frontend applications using Vite as the primary build tool. Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate Ruby-based services and APIs. Ensure applications meet accessibility (WCAG) standards and follow best practices. Optimize application performance, maintainability, and browser compatibility. Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture and engineering best practices. Work closely with Product, UX, and Engineering teams to deliver intuitive user experiences. Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+). Hands-on experience with Vite. Ember.js Lit Experience building applications using vanilla JavaScript. Experience developing Web Components. Working knowledge of Ruby and experience integrating with Ruby-based applications. Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design. Experience consuming RESTful APIs. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
