We are looking for a Frontend Developer to help build a high-performance, modern eCommerce storefront for a UK-based company.

We use AI-native development workflows to move quickly. AI is an integral part of our engineering process, and we expect developers to use it to accelerate development while applying strong engineering judgment to review, refine and validate the output.

We are building a fast, polished, production-grade eCommerce storefront — no templates or generic UI implementations. Every part of the experience needs to be responsive, accessible, performant and carefully engineered.

Requirements

Required:

• 3+ years of professional frontend development experience
• Strong production experience with Next.js
• Deep understanding of Next.js App Router
• Strong understanding of React Server Components
• Clear understanding of Server vs. Client Components and when to use each
• Strong TypeScript skills
• Experience with strict TypeScript codebases
• Strong Tailwind CSS experience
• Ability to build responsive, pixel-accurate interfaces from designs or wireframes
• Strong understanding of frontend performance and Core Web Vitals
• Experience with SEO, structured data and modern rendering strategies
• Experience integrating REST and/or GraphQL APIs
• Strong understanding of responsive design and accessibility
• Ability to independently take a UI from concept/wireframe to production

AI-Native Development

AI-assisted development is a core part of our workflow.

You should be a regular user of tools such as:

• Cursor
• GitHub Copilot
• Claude
• Gemini
• AI coding agents

We are not looking for someone who uses AI merely for autocomplete.

You should be comfortable using AI to:

• Generate component scaffolding
• Convert designs or wireframes into initial implementations
• Generate boilerplate and repetitive code
• Refactor components
• Debug frontend issues
• Generate tests
• Explore alternative implementation approaches
• Rapidly iterate on UI and functionality

More importantly, you must have the engineering judgment to recognize when AI-generated code is incorrect, inefficient, inaccessible, poorly structured or unnecessarily complex — and fix it.

The best AI-native frontend developers don't simply generate more code.

They use AI to increase iteration speed while maintaining high standards.

You should be able to take a rough wireframe or design, use AI to accelerate the initial implementation, and then refine it into a pixel-perfect, responsive, accessible and production-ready interface.
