Mosaic Conseil operates as a small, focused workshop where we rebuild business artifacts from the ground up. We do not produce slide decks or participate in the typical corporate theater of endless meetings. Instead, we take existing financial models, pricing grids, and strategic plans, take them apart on the bench, and put them back together based on the evidence found in the ledger. Our partner is a major development firm, and we are currently working to translate complex business logic into clean, functional digital tools that support their operations. This internship is a fully remote position where you will contribute to the technical side of these reconstructions.
About Mosaic Conseil
We are a boutique consultancy that values independence and intellectual honesty. Our workshop is small by design, which ensures that the people doing the analytical work are the same ones who communicate with our partners. We focus on four specific sectors: financial services, industrial networks, growing software companies, and healthcare systems. Because we are a remote organization, we rely heavily on written arguments and clear documentation rather than verbal presentations. Every file we close carries two names: one person who built the model and one who argued against its assumptions. This internal tension ensures our results are backed by evidence and logic.
What you would do
As a Frontend Development Intern, you will work on the interfaces that bring our analytical models to life. Your primary task involves building and maintaining internal web tools that allow us to visualize data and interact with complex business artifacts. This includes:
- Developing clean, functional components using modern web libraries.
- Translating mathematical logic and financial grids into responsive user interfaces.
- Participating in our builder and challenger process by reviewing code and identifying logical flaws.
- Refining the visual clarity of data displays to ensure the evidence is easy to read and understand.
- Ensuring that all tools remain lightweight and performant across different browsers.
- Working directly with our analysts to understand the requirements of a specific ledger or business file.
- Documenting the technical choices made during the development of a new tool.
Helpful background
We are looking for someone who is technically curious and comfortable working in a remote, self directed setting. This role is intended for an intern or entry level developer who wants to apply their skills to real world business problems. The following traits and skills are useful:
- Basic proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with a modern frontend framework like React, Vue, or similar libraries.
- A strong interest in data visualization and how information is presented on a screen.
- The ability to write clearly and explain technical concepts through documentation.
- Comfort with receiving direct feedback and having your work challenged.
- A disciplined approach to problem solving and a high attention to detail.
- Previous experience with personal projects or academic work involving web development.
How we work
Our workflow is quiet and intentional. We operate on a 100 percent remote basis, allowing each team member to manage their own environment and schedule. We do not have standing retainers or unscheduled meetings. Instead, we focus on deep work and written communication. When you build a component or a tool, another member of the team will act as the challenger, questioning the logic and checking for errors. This is not a personal critique: it is a technical necessity to ensure that the artifacts we return to our partners are flawless. We value honesty and the evidence found in the code over corporate politeness.
What the role offers
This is a paid internship, and the compensation is competitive for the current market and the requirements of the role. You will have the opportunity to work on high stakes projects for major organizations while remaining in a small, remote team where your work is visible and significant. There is no busy work here. You will be building tools that are actually used to analyze business ledgers and strategic plans. We provide an environment free from the distractions of a traditional office, focusing entirely on the quality of the technical build and the strength of the argument behind it.
Working at Mosaic Conseil requires a high degree of self management and a preference for clear, written communication. We believe that by staying small and remote, we can maintain the focus needed to rebuild business artifacts correctly. The artifacts we produce are supported by a telephone number that answers for ninety days, meaning the tools you build must be reliable and the logic behind them must be sound. We look for people who take pride in the evidence of their work.
