Role Overview

Job Title: Fullstack Engineer (Java + React)

Location: Remote (Candidates must reside in Turkiye)

Contract: 4 months initial (highly likely to extend)

Cressoft is hiring Fullstack Engineers to support a long-term platform transformation for one of the UK’s leading retail and e-commerce companies. As part of this initiative, you’ll help modernize the core transactional flows—Checkout, Payments, Basket, and Post-Order—across a platform that serves over 70% of the UK population.

🔍 What You’ll Do

• Build and enhance both frontend and backend features using Java 17+, React/Next.js, and TypeScript
• Contribute to the re-architecture of high-traffic, mission-critical retail systems
• Implement scalable REST APIs, reusable UI components, and robust microservices
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and performance optimizations
• Collaborate with UK and nearshore engineering teams
• Ensure quality through automated testing and CI/CD best practices
• Deliver incremental features in an Agile environment

✅ Requirements:

• 5 to 7 years overall development experience
• A genuinely balanced full stack profile, roughly 50% frontend and 50% backend. Not a backend engineer who has touched React.
• Java 17+ and Spring Boot
• Strong React and/or Next.js. Server components a plus.
• TypeScript and JavaScript, Tailwind CSS
• Microservices and event-driven systems, Kafka or similar
• PostgreSQL or a similar relational database
• Frontend testing: React Testing Library, Enzyme, Cypress
• CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions preferred
• Excellent English, written and spoken. Non-negotiable, they work directly with UK teams.
• Agile/Scrum

🛠 Nice to Have

• Familiarity with TDD, Kubernetes (AWS), and cloud-native environments
• Knowledge with Terraform
