Day-to-day responsibilities Back-end development Create and maintain server-side logic, databases, APIs, and application architecture. Develop efficient algorithms and data structures to handle complex business logic and data processing. Implement security measures such as authentication, authorization, and data encryption to protect sensitive information. Optimize server performance and scalability to handle high traffic and large datasets. Database Management Design and manage databases to store and retrieve application data efficiently. Write database queries and optimize them for speed and reliability. Ensure data integrity, security, and proper indexing to enhance application performance. Work with various database systems (SQL, NoSQL) based on project requirements. Version Control and Deployment Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage codebase, track changes, and collaborate with other developers. Setup and configure continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines for automated testing and deployment. Deploy applications to production servers, cloud platforms, or containerized environments. Monitor and troubleshoot application performance issues in production environments. Technical Problem Solving Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues across the entire application stack. Debug and fix bugs in both front-end and back-end code. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and quality assurance, to address challenges and deliver high-quality solutions. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continually enhance technical skills and contribute to innovative solutions. Responsible for delivery of a quality production service in collaboration with the technical production teams. Who are we looking for We look for big thinkers. In practice this means: 5+ years of experience in full-stack development with proficiency in Angular for frontend, Java with Spring for backend Strong technical skills in these areas: Angular, Java, Yii PHP, Javascript, typescript, HTML, CSS, Spring, Springboot, Postgres Knowledge of Spring ecosystem including Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data, and Spring Cloud, dependency injection, AOP, and other core Spring concepts DevOps experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) Knowledge with containerization (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes) Good understanding of UI/UX design principles Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and/or any Cloud Provider, with experience of hosting software solutions on the platform Perks & Benefits At Worldline you’ll get the chance to be at the heart of the global payments technology industry and shape how the world pays and gets paid.
