FULL STACK SOFTWARE DEVELOPER JOB OVERVIEW We are looking for a Full Stack Software Developer with a strong backend focus to design and deliver new features for Leaf Business, our commercial customer portal and billing platform. In this role, you will operate as the primary developer within the squad, owning the full development lifecycle of features—from requirements definition to deployment—while working closely with the Product Owner and stakeholders. RESPONSIBILITIES Design, implement, and test new features and RESTful APIs for the Leaf Business platform (customer portal and billing systems) Own the end-to-end development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery Develop backend services, business logic, and integrations with commercial systems Build and maintain frontend applications using Vue.js to support operational and commercial workflows Collaborate with the Product Owner to refine requirements and translate them into technical solutions Integrate third-party services and internal systems via APIs Troubleshoot bugs, performance issues, and ensure system reliability Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation Work closely with stakeholders across functions to align on requirements and delivery Optimize system performance and proactively propose improvements Use GitLab for version control, collaboration, and code reviews Contribute to and maintain CI/CD pipelines QUALIFICATIONS AND STUDIES Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field Equivalent practical experience in software development is also considered REQUIREMENTS Tech skills Strong experience in full-stack development with a backend focus (3–5 years of professional experience preferred) Proficiency in Python and JavaScript Experience with Vue.js or similar frontend frameworks Solid understanding of API design and integration Experience with Docker and containerized applications Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud environments (GCP or similar) Experience working with CI/CD pipelines Knowledge of system integration and microservices architectures Nice-to-have: Experience in the telecommunications sector UI/UX design skills Experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ) Integration experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Soft skills Strong ownership mindset and ability to work autonomously Collaborative approach and ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders Problem-solving attitude with attention to detail Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts WHAT WE OFFER A flat and collaborative organizational structure A fast‑paced and professional environment within a rapidly growing space scale‑up Challenging projects with real impact on the global space ecosystem An international and diverse workplace Comprehensive benefits package, including a welfare platform, meal vouchers, a hybrid work policy supporting work-life balance, and training opportunities COMPENSATION & TRANSPARENCY Reports to: Head of Engineering Seniority level: Experienced professional Job location: Lomazzo (Como), Italy (up to 2 remote working days per week) Salary range: €35-40K gross annual salary Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including welfare platform and meal vouchers Expected start date: as soon as possible Department Product Development Locations Leaf Space Remote status Hybrid Employment type Full-time About Leaf Space Leaf Space operates a fully owned, globally distributed network of ground stations, empowering satellite operators to communicate with their spacecraft in the simplest and most flexible way.
