You will set the technical direction for a team of frontend and fullstack engineers, make foundational technology and design decisions, conduct code and architecture reviews, and remain hands-on enough to prototype, validate, and course-correct implementation as needed. Define the backend API architecture — RESTful API design, request/response contracts, versioning strategy, error handling patterns, pagination, and integration with platform services (orchestration, exception routing, audit trail, notifications). Own the DynamoDB data modelling for the application layer — access pattern analysis, single-table design decisions, GSI strategy, partition key selection, and query optimisation for worklist, exception, configuration, and audit data.
