Fund Accounting Director - Remote

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Fund Accounting Director to provide strategic leadership across its Fund Accounting function. The successful candidate will lead high-performing teams, manage key client relationships and oversee the timely and accurate delivery of NAV and financial reporting services.

**This is a fully remote position, although candidates must be based in Ireland.**

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, strategic direction and oversight to Fund Accounting teams.
• Take overall responsibility for the timely and accurate delivery of the NAV process across a portfolio of clients.
• Oversee complex accounting matters, including fee calculations, profit and loss allocations and complex financial instruments.
• Manage and develop relationships with clients and external stakeholders, including auditors, brokers and legal advisers.
• Lead teams of Fund Accounting professionals, supporting recruitment, training, development and performance management.
• Ensure robust control frameworks, procedures and operational processes are maintained and continuously enhanced.
• Review and oversee the preparation of financial and regulatory reporting.
• Support new client onboarding and transitions.
• Work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams across Operations, Investor Services, Compliance, Quality Assurance and other business areas.
• Lead and contribute to strategic projects, process improvements and operational initiatives.
• Act as a senior escalation point for complex client, operational and technical issues.
• Foster a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture.

Your Profile

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 9 years' experience within Fund Accounting or Fund Administration, ideally with significant exposure to hedge funds or alternative investment products.
• At least 3 years' experience in a management or senior leadership position.
• Strong technical knowledge of the NAV process and fund accounting principles.
• Experience managing sizeable teams and multiple client relationships.
• A strong understanding of complex fund structures and financial instruments.
• Experience reviewing financial and regulatory reporting.
