Fund Administrator (Remote)
Location: Remote (U.S.)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $50,000-$70,000 annually, depending on experience, plus benefits.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who takes pride in doing things the right way.
This is not a role where you need previous fund administration experience. We provide comprehensive training on our fund administration processes and systems. Prior fund administration experience is not required. What we can't teach is integrity, work ethic, ownership, attention to detail, and follow-through.
If you're the type of person who naturally notices what others miss, enjoys bringing order to complex situations, and refuses to let important tasks slip through the cracks, we'd love to talk with you.
You'll become an important part of our growing fund administration team, supporting both registered investment funds (including ETFs) and private funds while coordinating with attorneys, auditors, accountants, compliance professionals, trustees, and other service providers.
What You'll Do
As a Fund Administrator, you'll become the central point of coordination for numerous recurring processes that keep our funds operating efficiently and in compliance.
• Coordinating communication among attorneys, auditors, accountants, compliance professionals, trustees, and other service providers
• Managing recurring administrative processes across multiple investment funds
• Preparing board meeting materials, coordinating meetings, and ensuring trustees receive accurate information on time
• Tracking deadlines and following projects through to completion
• Maintaining organized, audit-ready records and documentation
• Coordinating annual audits and tax return preparation
• Monitoring fund expenses, invoices, reimbursements, and fee calculations
• Supporting shareholder reporting, regulatory filings, and fund communications
• Assisting with launching new funds and transitioning existing funds
• Supporting the administration of both registered investment funds and private funds
• Continuously identifying opportunities to improve processes and organization
While these are the primary responsibilities, this role will continue to evolve as our business grows.
Who Will Thrive Here
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent follow-through
• A high level of personal accountability
• The ability to manage multiple priorities without becoming overwhelmed
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Professionalism when working with clients and third-party service providers
• The ability to learn quickly
• A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
• The discipline to work independently in a remote environment
Most importantly, they take ownership. They don't wait to be reminded. They don't let important tasks fall through the cracks. They see problems, solve them, and make life easier for the people around them.
Experience We're Looking For
Previous fund administration experience is not required.
Candidates from many backgrounds have the skills to succeed in this role, including:
• Executive or administrative assistants
• Operations coordinators
• Project coordinators
• Office managers
• Accounting assistants
• Compliance professionals
• Banking or financial services operations
• Legal assistants or paralegals
• Other highly organized administrative or operations roles
If you're intelligent, organized, hardworking, and eager to learn, we'll teach you the technical side of fund administration.
We hire for character and potential first. Experience is valuable, but curiosity, ownership, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic are what lead to long-term success on our team.
Skills Needed
• Google Docs and Google Sheets
• Microsoft Word and Excel
Why You'll Enjoy This Role
This position is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys creating order out of complexity.
You'll work with a growing organization where your work matters. Every process you manage, every deadline you meet, and every detail you catch helps protect the integrity of the investment funds we support.
If you find satisfaction in finishing what you start, staying organized, and being the person others can rely on, you'll likely find this work rewarding.
