The Fundraising and Communications Officer plays a vital and diverse role in the success of the Fundraising and Communications Directorate and London Youth as a whole. As well as taking on your own specific projects, you will offer support to the wider Fundraising and Communications Directorate across events, different income streams, and communications projects as we work to achieve our targets in excess of £3.6m. You will collaborate with colleagues, funders, and partners and meet youth workers and young people as we look to engage and inspire audiences in support of transformational youth work. What you will be doing Support the Corporate Partnerships Account Manager to deliver challenging events, digital fundraising and volunteering. Support the Fundraising and Communications directorate in the development and delivery of events, including the London Youth Awards, site visits, lunch and learns, Born Ambitious, and the AGM. Support the Fundraising and Communications directorate in the development and implementation of a new income stream. Support the Communications team on the development and delivery of on and offline communications assets. Be the first point of contact for all fundraising and communications enquiries. Collaborate with the Communications team to ensure all pages on our website are up to date, accurate and compelling, and position our charity as a credible partner of funders. Undertake research on behalf of the Fundraising and Communications teams as appropriate. Provide essential administrative support to the Fundraising and Communications Directorate. Ensure all information is recorded in an accurate and timely manner across all relevant systems and in line with relevant processes and procedures, including Salesforce and Sharepoint. Contribute to the team's annual plans, strategies, budget planning, and reforecasts where appropriate. Understand, support and communicate the vision, mission, and aims of London Youth and the needs of young people and youth organisations. Reflect our inclusive culture in your day-to-day work and support a positive health & safety and safeguarding culture in your interactions with colleagues, young people, and youth organisations. What you bring to the role Knowledge and Experience: A good understanding of income streams and how fundraising teams function. A good understanding of communications teams, their key responsibilities, and how they function. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to engage with stakeholders. Proven administrative experience. Experience of support on the development and delivery of events. Demonstrable experience of undertaking and present research. Demonstrable experience of leading on projects. Attributes and Behaviours: Passionate about and committed to improving the lives of children and young people.
