Makera is a gaming and digital entertainment company reaching 1M+ monthly active users, with a strong concentration of Gen Z and Gen Alpha audiences across MENA and international markets.
We are hiring a Game Producer to take ownership of games within Makera’s UGC portfolio.
This role is responsible for the full game lifecycle, from concept and production planning through launch, updates, LiveOps, and ongoing optimization.
You will work across product, game design, development, art, QA, community, and monetization to ensure our games are delivered on time, meet quality expectations, and continue improving after launch.
Your Main Responsibilities
Game Ownership
- Own the production lifecycle of assigned games from concept through launch and ongoing LiveOps
- Define production plans, milestones, priorities, and release schedules
- Ensure each game has clear goals across gameplay, retention, monetization, content, and growth
- Maintain a clear understanding of the current state of each game and what needs to happen next
- Take responsibility for getting updates and releases shipped
Production Management
- Translate game concepts and product goals into clear tasks and production roadmaps
- Coordinate developers, game designers, artists, configurators, QA, and other contributors
- Manage priorities, dependencies, blockers, and deadlines across multiple workstreams
- Ensure features are properly scoped before entering development
- Keep projects moving and escalate issues early when timelines or quality are at risk
- Maintain accurate production boards and documentation
Game Design & Product Direction
- Work closely with designers and leadership on gameplay systems, progression, economy, and content
- Review features from both a player experience and commercial perspective
- Help prioritize features based on their expected impact on engagement, retention, and monetization
- Understand player behavior and use it to influence future updates
- Ensure new features fit the overall direction of the game rather than becoming disconnected additions
LiveOps & Content
- Plan and manage ongoing game updates, events, seasons, content drops, and resets
- Maintain a consistent release cadence
- Coordinate seasonal content and major game updates
- Work with community teams to understand player feedback and recurring issues
- Turn player feedback and performance data into actionable improvements
- Ensure post-launch issues are identified and resolved quickly
Performance & Optimization
- Monitor key game metrics including player activity, retention, engagement, monetization, and conversion
- Identify underperforming areas of the game and propose improvements
- Evaluate the performance of major updates and features after release
- Work with leadership to prioritize changes based on data and player behavior
- Continuously look for ways to improve the long-term performance of each title
Quality Assurance
- Ensure features are properly tested before release
- Coordinate QA processes across major updates and launches
- Maintain clear acceptance criteria for important features
- Identify production risks before they impact players
- Ensure released content meets Makera’s quality standards
Main Requirements
Must-haves
- 3–5 years of experience in game production, game development, product management, or a related role
- Experience managing games or digital products through multiple stages of development
- Strong understanding of game development pipelines
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams across development, design, art, and QA
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Ability to turn high-level ideas into clear execution plans
- Strong understanding of player experience and live game operations
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with multiple priorities
- Strong English communication skills
Who is the Ideal Candidate?
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:
- UGC games
- Live-service games
- Multiplayer games
- Free-to-play games
- Game economies and progression systems
- LiveOps and seasonal content
- Gaming communities
- Game analytics
- Monetization
- Startup game studios
Experience managing games with active player communities would be a major advantage.
You do not need to be a programmer, but you should understand how game development works well enough to communicate effectively with technical teams and make realistic production decisions.
Key Skills
- You take ownership. If a game or update is under your responsibility, you make sure it moves forward.
- You know how to ship. You balance quality, scope, and timelines rather than allowing projects to remain in development indefinitely.
- You understand games. You can discuss progression, economy, retention, gameplay loops, content, and monetization with confidence.
- You are highly organized. Everyone should know what they are working on, why it matters, and when it needs to be completed.
- You solve blockers. When something is slowing production down, you actively work to resolve it.
- You listen to players. You understand the importance of community feedback without allowing individual opinions to dictate product direction.
- You think beyond launch. Releasing the game is only the beginning. You think about LiveOps, updates, retention, and long-term growth.
- You communicate clearly. You can keep leadership and production teams aligned without creating unnecessary meetings or complexity.
