THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE: Reporting to the Senior Advisor, Partnerships and Technical Quality, the Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Advisor provides strategic leadership and technical expertise to advance the gender equality and social inclusion across related projects, including with a focus on SRHR, to ensure quality programs that address the needs of women, girls, and children more broadly. This includes specifically focusing on shifting social and gender norms across all layers of the socio-ecological model. They integrate gender equality and social inclusion into advocacy, work with Save the Children International (SCI) and Country Offices to develop related programs, lead capacity-building efforts, represent Save the Children Canada in national gender equality and social inclusion spaces and support advocacy and program learnings. This role contributes to Save the Children’s Global Gender Equality Initiative by strengthening systems and developing new tools, as well as to Save the Children’s Global Women’s Rights Principles Initiative.  Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Thematic Advisory and Technical Quality Assurance  Provide high-quality technicalassistancefor women and children’s rights, including SRHR, ensuring rights-based approaches are evidence-based and effectively implemented. Maintain oversight of technical quality through collaboration with Regional and CountryOffices, andreview project deliverables and donor reports through a gender equality and social inclusion lens. Contribute to the development and quality assurance of gender equality and social inclusion program tools, evaluations, and key organizational documents to ensure gender equality is well-integrated. Advocacy & Business Development  Collaborate with Country Offices and Business Development teams to develop gender equality and social inclusion-integrated concept notes and proposals,leveragingtechnicalexpertiseand project learning. Support the execution of gender equality and social inclusion advocacy strategies through development of thought leadership materials and representation at key events and networks. Provide technical leadership to Save the Children campaigns to strengthen advocacy for gender equality and social inclusion. Learning & Innovation  Support Country Offices in designing, testing, and evaluating innovations that advance transformative programming, including those that engage with local Women’s Rights Organizations. Distill program learnings into actionable guidance and thought leadership for both internal and external audiences. Lead or support the creation of tools and resources to embed gender equality and socialinclusion acrossprogramming, advocacy, partnerships, and operations. Monitor sector developments to adapt and refine program models andidentifynew research opportunities. Collaborate with the Communications team to produce anddisseminatecompelling technical and project-related materials. Capacity Building  Support development and implementation of capacity-strengthening plans with Country Offices and local partners. Advise on donorpriorities ,guiding alignment with language and expectations. Build internal capacity by developing and delivering high-quality training on applying gender equality and social inclusion principles and normative change. Qualifications include (but are not limited to): Post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in International Development, Non-Governmental Organization (NGO/INGO), or other not-for-profit sectors isrequired. Proven experience with gender-transformative and social inclusion-focused child rights programming (including engagement of Women’s Rights Organizations), inSRHR, sexual and gender-based violence, nutrition, protection, humanitarian response, environment and climate, livelihoods, and/or education. Ability to synthesize and develop high-quality knowledge products from diverse data sources including programmatic materials and tools. Proven experience in proposal development for Canadian government-funded projects, with a strong understanding of Global Affairs Canada policies, procedures, and the Results-Based Management (RBM) approach. Advanced communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills for diverse audiences to build strong working relationships across cultural and organizational settings, both internally and externally. Fluency in Frenchrequired, Spanish and/or Arabic languageskills arean asset. Demonstrated project management experience for task execution of assignedobjectivessupported byproficiencywith MS Office tools and relevant technologies. Ability to work under pressure within tight timelines to achieve SCCobjectives.  Displays analytical and problem-solving skills to support initiatives withdemonstratedadaptability to support change management for successful task implementation. Applies judgment and makes sound decisions that are accountable, justifiable, and in adherence to policies and procedures.  Considers organizational strategy and thinks creatively to support innovative initiatives and collaborations that deliver benefits for the children and families we serve.  Ability to occasionally travel locally,nationallyand internationally (less than 10%) asrequired. WHAT WE OFFER The salary range for this position is union pay band 6 between $75,543.87 - $90,652.65 CAD depending on skills and experience.
