General Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive General Accountant in the Philippines to manage the company's day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate is Xero Certified (or has extensive experience using Xero), possesses strong knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management, and has the ability to perform financial analysis to support business decision-making.

Reporting to: Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Support the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) processes, including invoice verification, payment scheduling, and vendor reconciliations.
• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing, collections, customer account reconciliations, and aging reports.
• Maintain accurate financial records using Xero Accounting Software.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to improve business performance and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation is an advantage but not required.
• Xero Certification is highly preferred (or proven experience using Xero).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in general accounting or a similar role.
• Strong experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
