We usually respond within a day As a General Ledger Accountant, your role will encompass the following responsibilities: General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts on a regular basis to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data Month-End and Year-End Closing: Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries, financial statements, and reconciliations Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations Variance Analysis: Analyze financial data, investigate variances, and provide explanations for any discrepancies or irregularities Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution of outstanding issues Financial Auditing: Collaborate with auditors during financial audits and provide necessary documentation and support Process Improvement: Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and accounting operations Adherence to Policies: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulations To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field Proven experience as a General Ledger Accountant or in a similar accounting role Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including knowledge of GAAP and German HGB Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel Excellent analytical skills with an acute attention to detail Effective communication and teamwork skills Strong time management and organizational abilities Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines CPA certification is a plus but not required Department Finance Locations Cluj-Napoca Remote status Hybrid About Sales Consulting As a leading provider of Human Resources consulting services in Transylvania, we deliver regional coverage and specialized expertise across four core areas: recruitment and selection, personnel leasing, assessment centers and HR consultancy.
