General Manager - Music School

Salary Range: $80,000.00 To $85,000.00 Annually School of Rock is a growing, passionate community dedicated to enriching lives through performance-based music education. The General Manager is responsible for improving efficiency and increasing location profitability while managing the school’s operations. Established, high-performing school with demonstrated six-figure earning potential. Successful GMs in comparable schools currently earn between $100K–$1 25 K total annual compensation, though incentives are variable and not guaranteed. Roles and Responsibilities: Provide an exceptional experience for students and parents, delivering strong engagement and maximizing student enrollment Oversee and guide a team of instructional and administrative staff to cultivate a collaborative and supportive work environment while delivering a high quality educational experience Manage the school’s Profit & Loss (P&L) statement, including data analysis, budget tracking, and cost control to enhance financial performance Manage the creation of high-quality events to foster a sense of community, motivate students, and ensure their continued participation. Provide top-quality customer service, including billing, schedule management, and clear and timely communication Be a Brand Ambassador. Build relationships in the local community, networking with local businesses, service organizations, and other educational institutions, to increase visibility, create performance opportunities, and drive the business. Hire and onboard staff members. This includes recruiting and training to ensure they are successful in their roles and contribute to the success of the school. Promote Diversity and Inclusion to create a welcoming and respectful environment for all individuals. Deliver results through the management of educational and business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Manage the marketing, sales, and promotions to drive school and student success Manage staff and school facilities to ensure a safe experience for all students. This includes maintaining staff compliance with safety standards and following protocols. Skill Requirements: 3+ years work experience in management, sales, marketing, or customer service-related role Experience reviewing and managing a P&L or budget Excellent customer service skills Strong experience recruiting and managing staff Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Proven problem-solving skills A collaborator who works well across diverse populations Strong work ethic, integrity, and leadership skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Experience and interest in working with children Passion and/or interest in music and the arts Entrepreneurial spirit and drive to grow a small business
