About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical GEO & SEO Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will supplement our domestic talent by executing highly technical and content-driven strategies designed to make university programs more visible to Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI search tools (like Perplexity, ChatGPT, and Google's AI Overviews). If you are an SEO expert who is passionate about the shift toward AI search and possess strong technical and long-form writing skills, we want you on our team. Key Responsibilities GEO Strategy & Implementation: Develop and execute on-page content recommendations specifically designed to increase AI visibility and positive AI sentiment for graduate and professional degree programs. Comprehensive Auditing: Conduct deep-dive Technical Audits and Content Audits to identify gaps in search engine and generative engine performance. Schema & Technical SEO: Write, test, and implement complex Schema Markup (JSON-LD) to ensure AI engines can flawlessly parse and contextualize university program data. Content Creation: Research, outline, and write authoritative, long-form blog posts that align with GEO best practices and position our clients as leaders against peer institutions. Data Monitoring & Reporting: Set up, monitor, and analyze performance metrics using Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Search Console (GSC) to track improvements in search visibility and user engagement. Requirements & Qualifications Experience: 3+ years of proven experience in SEO, technical SEO, and content optimization, with a strong understanding of emerging Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) principles. Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in writing and deploying Schema Markup, performing technical site audits, and navigating CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, etc.). Analytics Mastery: Advanced hands-on experience with GA4, GSC, and standard SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog). Exceptional Writing: Native-level English proficiency with a portfolio of high-quality, long-form written content. You must be able to write with academic and professional authority. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with how LLMs retrieve, cite, and synthesize information for AI-generated answers Working Hours: Ability to maintain a reasonable overlap with US Central Time (CST/CDT) for daily/weekly team syncs and communication.
