Posted Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at 5:00 AM POSITION SUMMARY The Genetic Specialist serves as a trusted advisor to customers by providing genetic recommendations that improve herd performance and support long-term breeding goals. This role works closely with the sales team to analyze herd data, develop customized breeding strategies, and educate customers on STgenetics® products and services. The Genetic Specialist combines technical expertise with relationship-building skills to deliver exceptional customer support and contribute to sales growth. RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES Provide genetic consulting and breeding recommendations based on customer goals, herd performance, and genetic data. Work closely with Account Managers and the Sales team to support customer relationships and drive sales growth. Analyze pedigrees, production records, genomic data, and mating programs to develop customized breeding strategies. Educate customers on STgenetics® products, genetic indexes, reproductive technologies, and breeding programs. Assist customers with mating decisions and sire selection to maximize genetic progress and profitability. Conduct on-farm visits to evaluate herd needs and provide genetic support. Deliver presentations and product demonstrations to customers and industry groups. Stay current on industry trends, genetic advancements, and emerging technologies. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure excellent customer service and successful implementation of breeding programs. Travel as needed to support customers, attend industry events, and represent STgenetics®. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Dairy Science, Agriculture, or a related field preferred. Knowledge of cattle genetics, breeding principles, reproductive technologies, and herd management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret genetic and production data. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Customer-focused mindset with the ability to present technical information in a clear and practical manner. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) software is preferred. Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently. Passion for agriculture, livestock genetics, and helping producers achieve long-term success.
