GEO Specialist

The Role

• We're looking for a GEO/SEO Specialist to join our digital agency of talented SEO, PPC, Social and Creative specialists
• This is a digital marketing role focused on optimising client visibility in AI-generated search results, not an AI training, data labelling, or prompt engineering position

About You

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a digital marketing or SEO agency setting, with a genuine passion for Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and how AI-driven search is reshaping discovery
• Strong interest in and working knowledge of how LLMs, answer engines and AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Copilot and similar) surface, cite and rank brand content
• Proven track record of managing multiple SEO projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong organisational and project management skills
• Experience auditing content and site structure for AI crawlability and extraction, including structured data/schema markup, clear content hierarchy, and machine-readable formatting that helps LLMs parse and cite information accurately
• Proficiency in core SEO tools (Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush) plus working knowledge of emerging GEO/AI-visibility platforms (e.g. Profound, SEMrush's AI toolkit) used to track brand citations across LLM outputs
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful SEO strategies that increase organic search traffic and improve SERP rankings, with enthusiasm for applying the same rigour to improving visibility and citation in AI-generated answers
• Strong analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to developing, executing, and refining SEO and GEO strategies for a diverse range of clients
• Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with team members, stakeholders, and clients to achieve project objectives and deadlines
• A proactive approach to professional development, staying informed about the latest GEO and SEO trends, tools, and best practices as this space rapidly evolves

This role is a mix of GEO and SEO work, so while a strong SEO foundation is essential, we're particularly keen to hear from candidates with a genuine, demonstrated interest in GEO.
