To support our finance department through an upcoming retirement transition, we are hiring a methodical and proactive German-Speaking Financial Specialist / Financial Administrator (m/f/d) on a permanent basis (full-time or part-time from 32 hours per week). Key Responsibilities Role Transition: Complete a thorough knowledge transfer from our outgoing Senior Financial Administrator to ensure seamless operational continuity. Financial Management: Direct day-to-day accounting for three German locations, handling AP, AR, banking transactions, corporate card expenses, and travel reports. Period-End Closing: Manage monthly financial closing procedures and collaborate on annual financial statements. Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary contact for external tax advisors, auditors, and financial partners. System & Process Enhancement: Utilize performance metrics to optimize internal workflows, support digital transformation, and contribute to system updates (including SAP integration). Corporate Reporting: Provide regular financial insights to our parent organization in the Netherlands and offer guidance to local teams. Candidate Profile Background: Educational foundation in finance, business, or accounting, or a completed commercial apprenticeship (e.g., Steuerfachangestellte/r). Advanced credentials (such as Certified Accountant / Bilanzbuchhalter) are a plus. Professional Experience: 4+ years of hands-on, full-cycle financial accounting experience in a small-to-medium enterprise (SME) setting, with a proven track record in monthly and year-end closings. Software Proficiency: Skilled in ERP tools (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics/Navision, or similar) and advanced MS Office skills. Experience in SAP implementation is advantageous. Languages: Fluent German capabilities paired with professional C1 English proficiency. Dutch language skills are beneficial. Mindset: Self-driven, structured, and hands-on approach, with a willingness to undertake occasional day trips to secondary locations across Germany.
