This includes advising on, and managing, SiteMinder’s obligations regarding works councils, employee representatives and union representation, including consultation, negotiation and collective bargaining processes, where such structures exist in the relevant jurisdiction. Manage, alongside the People and Culture team, employment litigation and disputes, providing regulatory and compliance advice in the context of conduct, remuneration matters, and regulatory inquiries. Monitor and communicate regional developments in employment laws and regulations, proactively adjusting policies and practices and providing clear, actionable advice to the business. Support cross-border employment law projects, including policy harmonisation, workforce changes and compliance initiatives. Advise on legal risk in a clear, practical and commercially balanced way. What you’ll have… Law degree with current admission to practice in at least one of the following jurisdictions: Australia, India, Mexico, the Philippines, Spain, Thailand, the United Kingdom or the United States, together with demonstrated working knowledge of employment law across all of these jurisdictions. Extensive experience, or equivalent depth of experience, as a qualified employment lawyer in a top-tier law firm and/or in-house legal department of a multinational organisation. Proven success in advising on complex employment law matters across multiple jurisdictions is essential (Spanish employment law experience is highly desirable given the role's base), including obligations regarding works councils, employee representative bodies and union representation where these apply, with hands-on experience of consultation and negotiation processes.
