Objective of the position: Strategically and efficiently manage the procurement of non-productive materials, services, and fixed assets, ensuring the achievement of savings targets, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and internal customer satisfaction. Drive the negotiation and implementation of the most favorable commercial terms for the company while optimizing delivery times to support business continuity and operational excellence. Contribute to continuous improvement, innovation, and sustainability within the supply chain, aligning purchasing activities with corporate policies and organizational values. Indispensable Requirements (Candidates who do not meet these requirements may be discarded): General knowledge in procurement and diverse commodities Procurement systems (SAP, Ariba, ProQ, or similar) and proficient Microsoft Office skills are required. Advanced negotiation knowledge Sourcing and supplier development (identification, qualification, and continuous improvement of suppliers) Data analysis, cost analysis and financial evaluation Contract management and compliance (ISO, OEA, Incoterms, procurement policies, and internal policies) 2–4 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or comparable commercial roles. Required competencies include negotiation, supplier interaction, contract and terms review, cost and data analysis, and operation within procurement platforms. Spanish level: C1 English level:B2 Soft Skills: -Effective communication -Influence and negociation -Strategic thinking -Decision making -Project management -Analysis and problem solving Academic Knowledge: Bachelor’s degree in Administration, International Trade, Business, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Main Functions: Strategic sourcing & Commodity strategy management: Develop and manage sourcing strategies for assigned commodities by using internal specifications to build an optimal supplier base. Ensure full compliance with legal and procedural requirements during negotiations and contract finalization. Maintain and update supplier lists to align with evolving business needs. Supplier and project management: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, driving continuous improvement initiatives and performance goals. Lead project execution for assigned commodities, ensuring transparency and alignment with stakeholder expectations. Oversee all strategic and tactical supplier ‑ related activities, including market analysis, technology trends, supplier selection, and price negotiations. Negotiation and supplier innovation: Apply creative negotiation strategies to drive significant improvements in supplier cost, quality, and performance. Partner closely with stakeholders to identify and introduce innovative supplier technologies, materials, services, processes, and equipment that strengthen the company’s competitive advantage Procurement Process Execution: Execute the full procurement cycle by running competitive bids (RFQs), preparing Sourcing Recommendations (SRs), and completing Competitive Bid/Analysis Charts (CBAs). Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and Purchase Contracts (PCs) with accuracy and compliance. Ensure all specifications, terms and conditions, and supplier onboarding requirements are clearly defined and properly implemented. Maintain fairness, transparency, and consistency throughout the sourcing and awarding process. Performance Review & KPI Management: Conduct regular reviews of supplier performance and strategy, establishing clear improvement expectations and tracking progress. Monitor and achieve both individual and departmental KPIs, ensuring consistent performance, compliance, and continuous improvement. Partnership & Collaboration: Advise internal business partners (IBPs) and suppliers throughout the purchasing process. Coordinate with Finance, Legal, IBPs, and the broader national and international GIP network to align requirements, resolve issues, and ensure strong internal customer satisfaction. Compliance, Integrity & Governance: Ensure full adherence to corporate policies, procurement regulations, supplier ‑ integrity requirements, confidentiality standards, and all applicable external regulations. Support audits and maintain complete documentation to demonstrate due process and uphold fair, transparent competition. Risk Management, Digitalization & Continuous Improvement: Identify and mitigate operational and legal risks, supporting corporate audits and business ‑ continuity activities.
