Global Market Segment Sales Expert - Packaging Food Beverage Apply Apply Description Balluff Inc. is seeking Global Market Segment Sales Experts - Packaging Food Beverage at our Florence, KY facility to: Develop global key accounts and critical strategic accounts for the food and beverage automated packaging markets. Manage business relationships by understanding the customer decision process. Identify and acquire the food and beverage packaging customer projects and sales opportunities. Coordinate with sales, technical engineering team members, and target customers, as required, to determine project criteria needs and project scope. Share market valuable information about food and beverage packaging product and solutions requirements with sales and technical engineering design teams. Understand and communicate future trends in the food and beverage automated packaging industry to inform marketing strategy. Requirements: 24 months’ experience as an Industrial Engineering Technologist or Technician or any occupational title as related to food and beverage automated packaging systems. Provide application consulting for guided changeover system using sensor technology and system software to ensure correct specification across complicated and differing applications in the manufacturing environment, which includes identifying individual products, such as magneto strictive transducers, linear, optical distance, condition monitoring and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), and digital positioning sensors. Apply direct application of sensor technology associated with complex “networking” projects, which requires specification of industrial “networking blocks” for specific environmental product networks, including IO Device (Link) Description (IODD) files through use of the Smart Automation & Monitoring System (SAMS) industrial networking solutions. Apply software platforms and sensors to ensure correct specifications and requirements are met with retro fitting of condition-based monitoring solutions onto existing production critical assets to ensure system compatibility with existing asset management platforms with on board protocols, including Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) and Representational State Transfer Application Programming Interface (REST-API). Plan and implement proper specification of individual components, communication protocols and compatibility with software associated with sensor technology including providing specification of vibration, pressure, temperature, flow, and humidity monitoring. Apply Original Equipment Manufacturer principles for preferred controls platforms to ensure full compatibility between sensor solutions and third-party controllers through proper use of Siemens and Rockwell automation Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) platforms. Travel 3-4 days per month throughout the United States and 1-2 days per month internationally for customer meetings.
