Is this job info correct?

Graduate Software Engineers Launch your software career through rotations across frontend, backend, databases, and reliability, building real products that help lotteries and good causes. We usually respond within two weeks Over 30 years, we've grown from a single computer to a global digital lottery technology business (ASX: JIN), operating across Australia, the UK, Canada and the USA. We partner with thousands of good causes worldwide and have helped raise over $290M in FY25 alone. We build the platforms and products that power lottery and not-for-profit fundraising at scale. It's a business that's still growing, still evolving, and still figuring things out, which means the people who do their best work here are comfortable with ambiguity, think laterally, take real ownership of their work, and adapt well to change What will you be doing? We’re looking for two Graduate Software Engineers to join Jumbo on our 12-month graduate program designed to provide broad, practical exposure across our technology platform. Rather than pigeonholing you into one area, we plan to rotate you through different engineering environments. You’ll spend time in field engineering, working across a wide range of real-world platform needs, and in a more structured platform reliability environment focused on performance, availability, upgrades, and maintaining healthy systems. We're finalising the rotation plan, but the intention is to give you experience across frontend, backend, databases, security, and infrastructure-related work. You’ll join engineering teams that build and maintain the products powering our digital lottery platform. You’ll work in a fast-paced, Agile engineering environment that embraces industry best practices across CI/CD, test automation, code quality, peer reviews, and AI-assisted development. You’ll learn from experienced engineers while gaining hands-on experience building, testing, and delivering high-quality software. Our technology stack includes React on the frontend and Golang and PHP on the backend, and you’ll have access to AI development tools such as Claude Code. What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like Perform well-defined programming tasks under guidance, writing, testing, debugging, and shipping clean, readable, and efficient production code Work across a broad range of technical challenges, potentially including frontend and backend development, database updates, platform maintenance, security-related work, and technical requirements gathering Help troubleshoot issues and improve platform reliability, performance, scalability, and availability Contribute to upgrades, maintenance, technical documentation, and the removal of outdated or unused code Learn how initiatives move from requirements through team delivery and into production Take part in team planning, code reviews, testing, and continuous delivery practices, using version control tools such as Git Use AI development tools responsibly to support your work while applying your own coding knowledge and judgement Build an understanding of Jumbo’s products, customers, and technology platform through hands-on experience Communicate openly with your team, raising blockers early, asking for help when needed, and learning from mistakes Connect your work to user value and its impact on Jumbo’s customers What You’ll Be Able to Bring to the Role A completed or in-progress tertiary qualification, diploma, or equivalent in Information Technology, along with the ability to demonstrate foundational coding skills Curiosity and a willingness to learn across different parts of the technology stack An adaptable mindset and enthusiasm for tackling unfamiliar problems Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively, ask thoughtful questions, receive feedback, and seek help when needed An understanding that AI is a useful development tool, not a substitute for software engineering fundamentals A practical approach to problem-solving and an interest in how reliable software is built, maintained, and improved Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and an interest in producing readable, testable, and efficient code Comfort working in an environment that is growing, evolving, and occasionally ambiguous Salary Banding: $80,000+Super Our Ways of Working At Jumbo, we value balance and flexibility. Based in Brisbane and working out of our Head Office, our hybrid working model that combines in-office collaboration (three days per week) with WFH work (two days per week). We also offer flexible working hours, with core collaboration times from 10 AM to 2 PM, allowing you to design a schedule that suits your life. Why Join Jumbo? Working at Jumbo comes with some genuine perks. Here's what you can expect: A short-term incentive program that rewards your contributions, depending on the company's performance Access to our Employee Assistance Program, providing counselling and coaching Award-winning talent management programs for career growth and skill-building On-site chefs (Brisbane) offering fresh, gourmet lunches daily and breakfast twice a week The freedom to work from almost anywhere in the world for up to 120 days a year A social culture, with activities like chess, Jumbo band, corporate games, an indoor rock climbing group, Friday socials, pool, ping pong, arcade machines, and events celebrating diversity and inclusion Novated Leasing - Origin 360 EV Program Generous parental leave: 14 weeks of paid leave for primary carers and 4 weeks for partners Jumbo’s Graduate Program: To be eligible for our Graduate Program, you will: Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident with full working rights Have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree within the last 12 months, or will graduate within the next 6 months Ideally, have completed studies within one of the following fields: Technology / Science / Maths Candidates who are offered a position will be required to complete pre-employment checks through our partner, Checkmate.
