2D Designer – Events & Opening Ceremonies

Role Overview

We are looking for a talented 2D Designer with strong experience in live events, opening ceremonies, entertainment productions and large-scale event projects.

The successful candidate will work closely with the creative and production teams to develop high-quality visual assets, event branding and artwork across multiple event touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop creative 2D designs, layouts and visual concepts for live events and opening ceremonies.
• Create artwork for event branding, stage graphics, LED screens, backdrops, signage, banners, presentations and venue graphics.
• Interpret creative briefs and translate concepts into visually strong and production-ready artwork.
• Adapt artwork across different sizes, formats and applications while maintaining design consistency.
• Prepare print-ready and production-ready files according to technical specifications.
• Collaborate with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Producers and Production teams.
• Incorporate feedback and make revisions quickly while working to tight event deadlines.
• Develop design concepts, mood boards and visual references when required.
• Ensure all artwork follows approved brand guidelines and creative direction.
• Manage multiple design requirements and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced event environment.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of professional 2D design experience.
• Proven experience in events, opening/closing ceremonies, entertainment, experiential or large-scale productions.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating relevant event and production design work.
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
• Strong understanding of typography, composition, layout and visual communication.
• Experience designing artwork for large-format printing, LED screens, stages and event environments.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in a remote working environment.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented and responsive.

Preferred Experience

Experience working on major opening ceremonies, sports events, concerts, festivals, cultural events, government events or large-scale entertainment productions will be highly advantageous.

Experience with motion graphics, After Effects or basic 3D design would be an added advantage but is not mandatory.
