The Role We are looking for an experienced Global Treasury Senior Manager to join our global Finance function in London. This is a senior leadership role within Group Controllership, reporting to the Global Controller. You will lead the firm’s global treasury activities, ensuring effective liquidity management, efficient funding, robust banking controls and appropriate management of foreign exchange risk across a multi-currency and multi-jurisdictional environment. The role will shape and develop the firm’s global treasury strategy, controls framework, treasury systems and technology landscape. You will oversee cash forecasting, liquidity management, external banking relationships, banking facilities, foreign currency trade execution, intercompany funding, bank guarantees, letters of credit and governance of the Group’s bank accounts and banking platforms. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a broad, high-impact treasury function, driving continuous improvement, automation and stronger controls across a complex international business. Duration: Permanent Working Pattern: Minimum 2 days each week from the office, 3 days remote The Team The role sits within Group Controllership, part of the firm’s global Finance function. The team is responsible for external financial reporting for the Group and UK subsidiaries, as well as establishing and executing internal controls over the firm’s accounting and financial procedures. This includes the management of banking facilities, cash utilisation, group funding and treasury governance. You will work closely with senior finance stakeholders, regional finance teams, FP&A, Tax, Legal Cashiers, Accounts Payable, Procurement, IT, external banks and advisers. Essential Skills & Experience Treasury leadership, funding and banking Qualified accountant or treasurer, or equivalent experience in a senior treasury role. Proven experience within a global treasury function, ideally across multiple currencies and jurisdictions. Strong understanding of liquidity forecasting, cash management, banking facilities, foreign exchange exposure management and treasury controls. Experience managing banking platforms, bank mandates, payment controls and bank account governance. Experience managing external banking relationships, banking facilities, drawdowns, repayments, facility headroom monitoring and treasury reporting. Ability to support senior finance stakeholders with clear updates on liquidity, facility usage, cash balances, FX exposures and key treasury risks. Cash forecasting, liquidity and cash management Strong experience leading daily, weekly and period-end cash flow reporting, forecasting and variance analysis. Experience preparing or reviewing multi-currency liquidity forecasts, ideally including 13-week cash flow forecasts. Ability to monitor global cash balances, identify funding requirements and drive improvements in forecast accuracy. Strong analytical capability, attention to detail and ability to identify key issues and practical solutions. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with experience in treasury reporting and analysis. Foreign exchange, intercompany funding and guarantees Strong understanding of foreign exchange exposure management and foreign currency trade execution. Experience working with Tax, Legal, Procurement, Controllership and regional finance teams to manage cross-border treasury matters. Experience managing intercompany loan processes, including reporting, interest calculations, journals, funding support and repatriations. Knowledge of bank guarantees, letters of credit and related banking documentation. Treasury operations, systems and controls Experience overseeing treasury operations, including payment processing, bank account administration and period-end treasury activities. Strong control mindset, including bank mandate limits, approval thresholds, user access controls and segregation of duties. Experience improving treasury processes, controls and reporting across regions. Ability to support audit and year-end processes relating to cash, debt, bank confirmations, guarantees, interest and intercompany balances. Experience leading process improvement, automation or treasury transformation activity in a complex finance environment. Leadership and stakeholder management Experience leading, coaching or supervising a treasury or finance team. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior finance stakeholders, banks and external advisers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritise, work to deadlines and operate effectively in a busy, international environment. Collaborative approach, with the ability to build effective relationships across Finance, Tax, Legal, Procurement, IT and regional teams. Desirable Skills & Experience Relevant treasury qualification, such as ACT. Experience in a global law firm or professional services environment. Experience implementing or administering a Treasury Management System, such as Kyriba or an equivalent platform. Experience with Power Query, Power BI or treasury reporting automation. Knowledge of Elite 3E. Experience supporting refinancing, covenant monitoring, bank guarantees or letters of credit. Experience managing treasury activities within a complex international partnership structure. Experience of multi-currency cash pooling, liquidity structures or in-house banking concepts. Experience of treasury transformation, process automation or treasury operating model redesign. Experience working with banks across multiple jurisdictions and managing international banking projects. Experience producing treasury and liquidity reporting for CFO, Board or Executive Committee audiences.
