First-level supervisors provide technical and administrative direction to missionaries. Oversees the day-to-day operations of a group of missionaries. Responsible for the training and development of subordinate staff, estimating work level needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational polices. Generally the subordinate group performs a single task or multiple, but closely related tasks. Duties are sometimes non-routine. Resolves most questions and problems, and refers the most complex issues to higher levels. This is a full-time (40-hour/week) position. Under current hybrid working arrangements, the person in this position is required to work in the office minimum of 3 days a week or more depending on business needs; therefore must live close. Learn more about the GSD HERE ! Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work. Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of missionaries. Set performance standards and evaluate work performance of subordinates. Give support, direction, and instruction to missionaries on both technical and administrative matters. Identify developmental and training needs of missionaries and provide or arrange for needed development and training. Requires a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, and 3 to 5 years of related experience. Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and presentation skills. Ability to set priorities and lead other people. Possess and apply advanced skills to the completion of somewhat complex assignments.
