The Opportunity As Head of AI, reporting to the GM, Data & AI, you'll lead the team responsible for developing AI products that solve real business problems while also building the AI platform that enables intelligence to scale safely and efficiently across Netwealth. This isn't about creating isolated AI use cases. It's about building an AI-as-a-Service capability that enables teams across the organisation to access, build and deploy AI solutions quickly, safely and repeatedly. You'll define the strategy, shape the capability, build the team and establish the platform that will underpin Netwealth's future AI ecosystem, from internally developed solutions through to third-party AI products and services. In this role, you will: Define and execute Netwealth's AI Engineering strategy Build an enterprise AI platform and AI-as-a-Service capability Deliver AI products that solve meaningful business problems Establish tooling, guardrails and standards for responsible AI delivery Partner closely with Data, Product and Engineering teams Drive AI adoption across the organisation Lead and develop a high-performing AI Engineering function About you You're an experienced AI or Engineering leader who has moved beyond experimentation and successfully deployed AI capabilities into production. You understand the difference between building isolated AI solutions and creating scalable AI platforms. You're commercially minded, delivery focused and capable of balancing innovation with governance, risk and execution. You'll bring: Experience leading AI, Machine Learning, Data Science or AI Platform teams Practical experience deploying AI solutions in production environments Strong software engineering and platform thinking Experience building AI platforms, MLOps capabilities or self-service engineering ecosystems Knowledge of modern AI technologies including GenAI, LLMs and agentic systems Strong understanding of AI governance, model risk and responsible AI practices Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills A proven ability to build teams, shape strategy and deliver outcomes Life At Netwealth At Netwealth, we believe a fulfilling career is built on growth, balance, and belonging .
