As part of its international growth strategy, the company is expanding into new markets worldwide and is seeking an experienced Head of International Business Development to lead and accelerate its global commercial development.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the dental and/or orthodontic industry, with proven experience in implantology, dental technology, dental equipment, orthodontics, or related healthcare solutions.
Position Summary
The Head of International Business Development will be responsible for developing and executing the company's international business development strategy, identifying new market opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth across global markets.
This is a highly strategic and hands-on role, combining international business development, market expansion, partnership development, and commercial leadership.
The successful candidate will have an established understanding of the global dental and orthodontic system and a strong network among dental professionals, implantologists, orthodontists, dental groups, distributors, manufacturers, KOLs, and other industry stakeholders.
The company's international strategy will be primarily B2B, focusing on strategic relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, leading dental and orthodontic organizations, distributors, dental groups, manufacturers, and other influential players in the market.
The long-term objective is to build a strong international network of strategic partners and develop local subsidiaries in priority markets, creating a sustainable global commercial organization.
Key Responsibilities
International Business Development & Market Expansion
- Identify and prioritize high-potential international markets within the dental and orthodontic sectors.
- Conduct market analysis to assess commercial opportunities, competitive landscapes, and market-entry requirements.
- Develop and implement market-entry strategies and commercial plans for priority countries.
- Identify new revenue opportunities and build sustainable international business pipelines.
Strategic Partnerships
- Identify, develop, and manage strategic relationships with key international stakeholders.
- Build partnerships with dental and orthodontic distributors, implant companies, dental equipment manufacturers, dental groups, laboratories, KOLs, and industry organizations.
- Identify opportunities for joint commercial initiatives, co-marketing, technology partnerships, and market development.
- Work closely with the CEO on high-level strategic partnerships and negotiations.
Commercial Development
- Build and manage international business development pipelines from prospecting through negotiation and closing.
- Generate new business opportunities through direct outreach, industry networks, partnerships, events, and referrals.
- Lead commercial negotiations with international partners and key accounts.
- Develop and manage strategic accounts and international partners.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to convert market opportunities into measurable commercial results.
- Track revenue, pipeline development, partner performance, market penetration, and other key commercial KPIs.
- Develop strategies to increase customer acquisition, retention, and long-term account value.
International Representation & Networking
- Represent the company at major international dental, orthodontic, implantology, and healthcare technology events.
- Attend trade shows, conferences, congresses, exhibitions, and industry meetings.
- Develop a strong international network of dental and healthcare professionals.
- Establish relationships with leading dental associations, industry organizations, KOLs, and strategic partners.
- Identify and leverage industry events as opportunities for business development and market expansion.
Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory Industry Experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience in business development, international sales, commercial strategy, or international expansion.
- Mandatory experience within the dental and/or orthodontic industry.
- Strong understanding of the dental and orthodontic market and its key stakeholders.
- Established network within the international dental and/or orthodontic industry is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of developing new international markets and generating B2B revenue.
- Experience working with international distributors, KOLs, dental groups, manufacturers, or strategic partners.
- Strong experience in commercial negotiations and partnership development.
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, International Business, Healthcare Management, Dentistry, or a related field.
- A dental or healthcare-related background is considered a strong advantage.
Language Requirements
- Fluent English – written and spoken, mandatory.
- Fluent French – Preferable
