Head of Communications

Gold & Aron is an executive search firm. We are recruiting on behalf of our client: a high-growth, AI foundation model pioneer building core infrastructure for real-time voice and audio intelligence ($200M+ raised).

Our client is looking for a Head of Communications to sharpen their global point of view and earn trust across the broader AI ecosystem. You will partner with executive leadership to uncover the company’s best stories and translate them into strategies that clearly communicate what the company stands for and the role voice AI will play in the future. This exceptional individual will:

• Own corporate communications strategy in partnership with the CEO, CMO and the executive leadership team.
• Lead communications for product launches, model announcements and major company milestones.
• Mine stories across the research, engineering and product teams to turn technical insights into compelling narratives.
• Manage proactive and reactive media while shaping the executive voice across keynotes, briefings and social channels.
• Build lightweight communications processes for cross-functional team coordination without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.
• Actively use and integrate modern AI tools into daily workflows to maintain an AI-first operating cadence.

Ideal Profile:

• 8+ years in communications, with significant experience leading corporate communications or PR at a technology company or agency.
• A track record of building communication strategies that have measurably improved a company's reputation or market position.
• Strong new media storytelling instincts: able to sit with researchers and engineers to extract insights that land with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong media relationships; strong judgment for pitching stories and handling high-stakes situations.
• A builder's mindset with comfort in ambiguity, thriving in a fast-paced environment where narratives and timelines shift quickly.
• An AI-first mindset, highly comfortable leveraging new models and tools, building AI agents, and continuously pushing what these technologies can do.

Location: San Francisco or New York preferred, US remote will also be considered.
