As a member of the IT & Digital Senior Leadership Team, you will work closely with senior leaders, elected members and partners to ensure security, governance and risk management are embedded in how services are designed, delivered and transformed. You'll provide strategic leadership across cyber security, information governance and information risk, helping the Council make informed decisions while maintaining trusted, resilient public services. This role also offers the opportunity to work beyond organisational boundaries, supporting collaboration and secure information sharing with partners as local government continues to evolve across East Sussex. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate: Significant experience leading cyber security and information governance functions within a large or complex organisation. Strong strategic leadership skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, elected members and key partners on risk, assurance and resilience matters. Experience of developing and embedding governance, risk management and assurance frameworks that support effective decision-making. A proven track record of building, leading and developing high-performing teams through change and continuous improvement. The ability to communicate complex risks and issues in a clear, accessible and practical way, balancing organisational priorities, innovation and risk management.
