Join us in transforming the offshore wind industry! As the Head of Equipment Engineering, you will be at the forefront of a pivotal shift towards a maintenance and reliability-focused organization. As part of a global team dedicated to developing, sourcing, and enhancing the equipment essential for installing offshore wind turbines worldwide, you will lead the equipment engineering function. Your role will be crucial in ensuring equipment uptime, as any breakdown can halt installation campaigns. You will foster a culture of continuous improvement, learning from challenges, and driving solutions that enhance project execution and product reliability.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Drive continuous improvement of our equipment portfolio, ensuring it meets the highest standards of reliability and efficiency.
- Systematically capture lessons learned and translate them into actionable improvement initiatives.
- Stay closely connected to operations to identify and address challenges proactively.
- Foster a culture that prioritizes problem-solving and learning from mistakes, rather than assigning blame.
- Build strong partnerships with development partners and suppliers to secure effective equipment delivery and knowledge transfer.
What You Bring
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Significant leadership experience in a technical and global environment.
- A strong track record in equipment engineering, reliability, maintenance, or lifecycle management.
- Experience in applying structured quality processes, preferably APQP4Wind.
- A proven ability to collaborate with external partners and suppliers, ideally backed by a solid understanding of Systems Engineering principles.
- Proven interpersonal and change management skills, with a strong ability to navigate organizational change and foster collaboration while introducing new ways of working in uncertain environments, all with a focus on quality.
About The Team
The Equipment Engineering team is part of the Offshore Execution Equipment group, focusing on developing, sourcing, maintaining, and continuously improving the equipment necessary for offshore wind turbine installations. Our equipment is critical for both installation projects and service operations, with uptime being essential to avoid project delays.
