About us i6 provides the world’s most advanced end-to-end Aviation fuel management technology - enabling operational efficiency, transparency, and sustainability for airlines, fuel service providers, and suppliers. Our cloud-based solutions digitise the entire aviation fuel lifecycle through real-time fuel inventory and into-plane management platforms, patented electronic refuelling technology, and advanced fuel analytics and insights. With the adoption of our technology, our customers have been able to reduce thousands of tonnes of CO2 and benefited from millions in cost savings. Role at i6 are primarily remote however for this role we require you to be able to come into our London office once a week. Your new role As the Head of Finance at i6 you will run the finance function day-to-day, owning financial control, reporting and the month-end close, and supporting the modernisation of the group's finance systems, processes and controls. You will report to the CFO, turning financial strategy into disciplined delivery, building a well-controlled and resilient function that scales with the business, and play a central role in preparing i6 for a successful exit. This is a hands-on senior role for someone who is equally comfortable owning the detail and building the team and systems around them. What you will do Financial Control, Reporting & Planning: Own the month-end close, delivering accurate, well-reviewed accounts on a reliable timetable. Own the group consolidation across multiple entities, including intercompany elimination. Own the calculation and reporting of ARR, moving it from a manual exercise to an automated, reconciled output. Support board-level reporting packs, KPIs and dashboards. Maintain the general ledger, chart of accounts and tracking categories in Xero, with costs booked to the right entity. Support revenue recognition across licence, transaction, professional services and hardware. Support delivery of the annual budget and rolling forecast, measuring budget-vs-actuals, and maintain rolling cash-flow forecasting. Systems, Process & Controls: Support modernisation of the finance systems (PO/approvals, month-end, ARR, budgeting and reporting). Design and document finance processes end-to-end, ensuring cross-cover to remove single points of failure. Embed clear segregation of duties and review steps across payroll, month-end, and payments. Partner with Procurement on the roll-out and running of the PO system, and drive cost discipline so spend is justified and delivers value. Statutory, Tax, Treasury & Compliance: Support accurate, compliant and timely year-end statutory accounts, and keep the function audit and diligence ready. Support corporation tax, VAT and payroll compliance across all entities, coordinating outsourced partners. Manage day-to-day cash, banking and liquidity, and the group's currency exposure. Team & Exit Readiness: Manage, develop and grow the finance team. Support exit preparation: data room, quality-of-earnings, ARR substantiation and buyer due diligence. Who you are We want to hear from you if you have the below: As a guide a Head of Finance at i6 should have 10-12+ years of relevant experience. Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA). Strong financial-control and reporting background, ideally including a Financial Controller or Head of Finance role in a growing business. Proven ownership of the month-end close, group consolidation, and statutory accounts. Experience designing and embedding financial controls and segregation of duties. Hands-on and comfortable owning the detail in a lean team while building it out. Strong financial-modelling skills. You will be a great fit for this role if in addition to the above you have: SaaS or recurring-revenue experience, with a good understanding of ARR and revenue recognition policies. Track record of implementing or upgrading finance systems, automating and documenting processes. Familiarity with Xero and related tools. Multi-entity and international experience. Experience supporting a funding round, or exit / due-diligence process. Familiarity with the aviation or B2B software sectors. A bit more about us We’ve recently raised our Series B funding. We are a remote first company with an office in Manchester and we will have an office in London at the end of 2026/early 2027. Each team has its own norms; the Finance Team will aim to meet in person once a week in the London office. We aim for all of the company to come together for a day once a quarter.
