Job Title : Head of IT Workplace Experience Target Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time, Full Time, Job Share option available Salary Range: £80,000 - £90,000 Location: Eastleigh hybrid, twice a week. Closing Date for applications: Monday 17th August Head of IT Workplace Experience: The Head of IT Workplace Experience is accountable for the strategic leadership, operational performance and continuous evolution of the organisation’s workplace technology ecosystem, ensuring employees can work productively, securely and seamlessly across both office-based and remote environments. The role leads the design, delivery and ongoing optimisation of the digital workplace experience, including end-user devices, Microsoft 365 and collaboration platforms, endpoint management, workplace technology and employee experience services. Through effective leadership and innovation, the role ensures workplace capabilities consistently meet business requirements, security obligations and service expectations while delivering optimal value and digital experience outcomes that exceed market benchmarks. The role also provides executive ownership of workplace technology assets through the IT Asset Management framework, ensuring robust governance across end-user devices, workplace software, licence consumption and lifecycle management. This accountability supports regulatory compliance, cost optimisation, operational resilience and informed investment decisions while maximising the value derived from technology investments. The role is ultimately accountable for realising measurable business value from workplace technology investments, delivering high levels of employee satisfaction, effective asset and licence control, strong operational performance and a modern workplace experience that supports the organisation’s strategic ambitions and long-term success. This role will require occasional travel to our Reigate and Glasgow offices. Main Responsibilities as Head of IT Workplace Experience: Contribute to the wider leadership and management of TechOps and IT Lead & create a culture of highly performant teams. Support the Director of Tech Ops to own the end to end workplace technology vision, ensuring a seamless, secure and modern employee experience across office based, hybrid and remote working Translate IT and business strategy into a coherent workplace experience roadmap, aligned to productivity, collaboration, and employee engagement outcomes. Act as the single point of accountability for the employee technology journey, from onboarding through daily use and support. Champion user centric design principles, embedding empathy, simplicity and responsiveness into all workplace services. Interpret colleague sentiment, experience data and insight to remove friction and improve satisfaction. Lead the development, adoption and optimisation of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, ensuring secure, scalable and intuitive collaboration services. Accountable for roadmap delivery across M365 engineering, endpoint management and continuous improvement tooling (e.g. experience analytics). Ensure modern workplace platforms support anytime, anywhere working without compromising security or resilience. Accountable for IT Asset Management outcomes across the workplace technology estate, ensuring end-user devices, workplace software and licences are effectively governed throughout their lifecycle to support compliance, cost optimisation, operational resilience and value realisation.Provide leadership for on site and remote workplace services across all Ageas locations (including Eastleigh, Gloucester, Reigate, Manchester, Glasgow, London and Bournemouth) Ensure consistency of workplace experience across locations while allowing for local operational needs. Accountable for endpoint strategy and lifecycle management, including build, distribution, refresh and decommissioning of devices. Ensure workplace services comply with security, risk and regulatory requirements, maintaining an appropriate balance between protection and usability Lead and govern strategic partners and suppliers delivering workplace services (including outsourced and offshore capabilities). Accountable for workplace technology budgets, cost optimisation and value tracking. Skills and experience you need as Head of IT Workplace Experience: Significant experience in a senior IT leadership role (Head of IT, IT Director or equivalent). Experience providing senior leadership within a Technology Operations or equivalent environment. Proven experience leading digital workplace or end‑user computing services, ensuring employees can work productively across office‑based, hybrid and remote environments Extensive demonstrable experience building, operating or evolving modern workplace platforms, including collaboration and productivity services such as Microsoft 365. Demonstrable experience managing and reporting IT performance against service and value‑based metrics, driving measurable improvements in efficiency, experience and outcomes. Experience leading or governing ITAM-related activity within an enterprise technology environment, particularly across end-user devices, workplace platforms, software licensing and managed service arrangements. Experience using asset, licence and consumption insight to drive compliance, cost optimisation, lifecycle planning and improved service outcomes. Experience operating within complex, enterprise‑scale IT environments supporting large employee populations. Experience leading or supporting cultural, operational or service transformation, particularly where user experience is a key outcome.
