Position Summary The Head of Market Access and Revenue Cycle Management will serve as the senior leader responsible for the oversight and optimization of Kandu, Inc.’s end-to-end revenue cycle operations. This individual will be accountable for ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant billing and collections across all payer segments, while supporting the company’s rapid growth and evolving business model. The successful candidate will combine strategic insight with operational rigor, building scalable systems and processes that enhance cash flow, reduce denials, and improve the overall patient financial experience. The role requires deep experience in healthcare or biotech revenue cycle management, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to lead a team in a dynamic, multi-state virtual care environment. Job Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Develop and execute a comprehensive revenue cycle strategy aligned with Kandu, Inc.’s business objectives and growth plans. Lead and scale end-to-end revenue cycle operations in a DME business, including patient access (including patient financial navigation, case management, and supporting functions), charge capture, coding, billing, collections, and support for payer relations. Partner with payor relations to own payor and clinical credentialing, and support contracting. Implement best practices and automation tools to drive efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across all revenue functions. Operational Management Manage RCM performance metrics, including cash collections, days in A/R, denial rates, and clean claim percentages. Oversee payer credentialing, contract management, and reimbursement optimization initiatives. Partner cross-functionally with clinical operations, technology, and finance to align billing workflows with care delivery models as well as financial outcomes (especially around billing and cash collections). Establish clear policies, controls, and escalation pathways to ensure consistency and accountability across all RCM processes. Data and Performance Analytics Create and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools to track revenue performance and identify trends. Analyze root causes of revenue leakage and implement targeted improvement strategies. Provide executive-level insights and forecasts to support budgeting and strategic planning. Demonstrated experience leveraging AI-based tools to drive improvements in processes, analyse data, and drive outcomes Compliance and Quality Assurance Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific billing requirements. Oversee internal audits and quality checks to safeguard revenue integrity and mitigate risk. Maintain current knowledge of reimbursement policies, payer updates, and regulatory changes affecting billing and coding. Leadership and Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing RCM team that embodies Kandu, Inc.’s mission and values. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, data-driven decision making, and collaboration. Serve as the organization’s subject matter expert on reimbursement models, payer relations, and billing best practices. Responsibilities may be adjusted periodically to align with organizational priorities, business needs, and company growth. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred). Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in biotech or healthcare revenue cycle management, preferably within medical device or digital health organizations. Proven success managing billing and collections for both in-person and telehealth services. Strong understanding of payer contracting, coding, and compliance (commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and self-pay). Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement initiatives that drive measurable financial and operational results. Lean Six Sigma expertise at the Green Belt level or above is very strongly preferred. Experience implementing or optimizing RCM systems (Niko Health is the Company’s billing platform, and experience with it will be very strongly preferred). Experience implementing or integrating with EHR systems is a plus. Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders. Prior DME experience is ideal.
