As we continue to grow in Korea and internationally, we're looking for a Head of Operations who can build systems, lead teams, and ensure our organization runs smoothly every day.
About the Role
As the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of Ark Academy.
You will oversee our operational processes across student operations, customer experience, HR administration, finance operations, and internal systems while working closely with the CEO and department leaders.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building structure from complexity, improving processes, and leading teams through rapid growth.
What You'll Do:
Operational Leadership
- Own and improve company-wide operational processes
- Build scalable workflows and SOPs
- Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions
- Lead cross-functional operational initiatives
- Track company KPIs and operational performance
Team Management
- Manage and develop Operations team members
- Coordinate across Admissions, HR, Finance, Customer Success, and Education teams
- Ensure accountability and execution across departments
- Support hiring and onboarding processes
Process & Systems
- Optimize internal workflows using automation and AI tools
- Improve documentation and operational standards
- Manage operational tools including Airtable, Slack, Google Workspace, and other platforms
- Drive continuous process improvement
Business Operations
- Oversee day-to-day business operations
- Support budgeting and operational planning
- Monitor operational metrics and reporting
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Customer & Student Operations
- Ensure a high-quality student and parent experience
- Improve enrollment and onboarding workflows
- Collaborate with Customer Success to resolve operational issues
- Maintain operational excellence across all programs
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Has 5+ years of operations, business management, project management, or similar experience
- Has experience managing people and cross-functional teams
- Is highly organized and detail-oriented
- Can prioritize effectively in a fast-moving startup environment
- Is comfortable making decisions independently
- Enjoys building systems rather than maintaining inefficient ones
- Communicates clearly in both written and verbal English
- Is data-driven and comfortable using metrics to guide decisions
Nice to Have
- Startup experience
- Experience in Education or EdTech
- Experience implementing operational systems
- Familiarity with Airtable, Notion, ClickUp, Google Workspace, Slack, or n8n
- Experience working with international teams
