Head of Shared Service

Head of Financial Control & Finance Operations | Remote (quarterly travel to SSC)

We're hiring a senior finance leader for a fast-growing Global Services business reporting directly to the CFO.

You'll act as the CFO's operational deputy for finance, owning financial control, treasury governance, SSC (Shared Service Centre) leadership and finance transformation across a diverse multi-country operation, and building the control and governance frameworks the SSC needs as it matures.

What you'll own:

• Financial control and governance across all EMEA entities, including IFRS compliance and monthly/annual close
• Day-to-day leadership of finance operations delivered through the SSC, spanning payroll, pay and bill, management accounts, bank reconciliation and query management
• Treasury and banking strategy, payment controls and fraud prevention across the region
• Working capital performance, including collections, cash forecasting and debt reduction
• Finance transformation, process redesign and system implementation, moving the function from unstructured to structured
• A geographically diverse finance team, with real responsibility for coaching and succession planning

What you'll bring:

• Qualified accountant (or relevant QBE)
• MSP/large contractor volume experience
• Significant senior finance leadership experience in a multi-entity, multi-country environment at comparable scale
• A track record working with Shared Services or GBS models
• Strong treasury, banking and cashflow expertise, plus a solid grasp of VAT and e-invoicing rules across Europe
• A hands-on, organised operator who's comfortable getting stuck in creating structure
• Willingness to travel quarterly to visit the team in the Shared Service Centre
